Dr. Timothy J. Henderson is a board-certified fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon with a broad range of clinical specialties, which include direct anterior minimally invasive hip replacement surgery, same day/outpatient total hip and knee replacement, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, and general orthopedic care for patients at Avalon Medical Center.
Dr. Henderson completed his formal education at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He then went on to complete his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Emory University, where he was chosen to serve as Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Henderson completed his fellowship at the University of California in Los Angeles with a focus on sub-specialty care in sports medicine and arthroscopy, treating many of UCLA’s intercollegiate and future professional athletes. A leader in his field, Dr. Henderson has served as Chief of Orthopedics Surgery at Lourdes Medical Associates Orthopedics, as director of the department of Orthopedic Surgery and as chairman of the Orthopedic Finance Committee for Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden.
A native of Livingston, New Jersey, Dr. Henderson has been providing surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care for a diverse patient population for more than 15 years. Dr. Henderson also has a strong commitment to international outreach and youth education.
