About Dr. Vagmin Vora

Dr. Vagmin Vora is an orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in spinal disorders, minimally invasive spine surgery, robotic spine surgery, endoscopic spine surgery and scoliosis. Originally from Mumbai (Bombay), India, he earned his medical degree from Topiwala National Medical College at Bombay University and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Bombay University.

Dr. Vora later completed two advanced fellowships in the United States:

  • Spine and Scoliosis surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, NY
  • Pediatric orthopedics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH

He has practiced spine surgery since 2004 in both India and the United States. Dr. Vora previously served as an attending spine surgeon at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at Penn State University College of Medicine.

Currently, he is affiliated with Hudson Regional Hospital, Bayonne University Hospital, Mount Sinai Health and Carewell Hospital where he focuses on:

Dr. Vora has also been involved in pioneering robotic-assisted spine procedures. He participated in one of the first robotic-guided sacroiliac fusion procedures performed in an outpatient setting and helped advance robotic kyphoplasty techniques using Mazor robotic technology.

His published research has appeared in journals such as Spine and JBJS, with work focusing on scoliosis correction, pediatric fractures, and spinal surgery outcomes. He has been an invited speaker in several conferences in the US as well as India. He is licensed in multiple U.S. states and has professional affiliations with organizations including the North American Spine Society and American Association of Neurological and Orthopedic Surgeons.
